Position Summary:

The Global Warehouse Health and Safety Manager is responsible for implementing, managing, developing, and monitoring all health and safety aspects for the Satair Warehouse network.

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Ensure effective accident and near miss policies, documentation and investigation are in place.
  • Issuing of Red Alerts to urgently communicate H&S Issues across network
  • Take an active role in the design of new facilities to design with safety in mind
  • Implement new safety system pilots evaluate their effectiveness and where applicable manage roll out globally
  • Ensure that health and safety best practice is documented, acknowledged, implemented transferred in a pragmatic way to all work locations.
  • Ensure that all warehouse processes in the 'Company Management System' and have JHA's in place and that these are reviewed on a continual basis to ensure most effective methods, processes and equipment are being used
  • Ensure all facilities are in compliance with local and company safety policy
  • Develop and run internal health and safety audit process, and support with external audits
  • Run Specific Safety campaigns to target safety concern trends
  • Evaluated effectiveness of H&S Training Portfolio and Support Global Training manager to evolve portfolio
  • Support company to achieve ISO 45001 status
  • Implementation of new company proprietary system
  • Responsible for go look see and action follow up
  • Act as point of contact for all Health and Safety Matters

General Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Satair's mission, values, quality systems, standard operating procedures and ISO manual
  • Comply with Satair's guidelines on Ethics & Compliance
  • Keep the line manager and regional warehouse heads informed about progress and status of agreed tasks as well as any critical problem areas

Qualifications:

  • A Minimum of a Bachelors degree is required
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations is required
  • Must be able to work with various global communities
  • Knowledge of transportation of hazardous materials
  • Experience with warehouse processes is a plus
  • Familiarity with work-related routines under Satair's ERP system is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Must have the ability to work under extreme pressure while maintaining full composure
  • Excellent attention to detail and observation skills is required

 15-20%-Domestic and international travel is required
